Delayed ‘Happy New Year’ For Shah Rukh Khan And Farah Khan

Shah Rukh Khan’s surgery has postponed the schedule of Farah Khan’s ‘Happpy New Year’. The film is delayed by three months.

MUMBAI: Farah Khan returns to direct Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Happy New Year’ after directing Akshay Kumar in the debacle ‘Tees Maar Khan’. The director, sadly will have to wait for an extra three months, as Shah Rukh Khan’s surgery has delayed the schedule of ‘Happy New Year’

Shah Rukh Khan sustained a shoulder injury during ‘Ra.One’ but was negligent about it. His shoulder injury worsened during the shoot of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ and the actor underwent a surgery at Lilavati Hospital.

The actor has been advised rest for six weeks and his shoulder is wrapped in a sling. ‘Happy New Year’ was supposed to go on floors in June, but with Shah Rukh Khan nursing his shoulder, the film now has been pushed to a September schedule.

A source close to Farah Khan said, “We were supposed to shoot certain portions of ‘Happy New Year’ in Mumbai and head to Dubai in September for a schedule there, but now Shah Rukh Khan will directly start shooting in Dubai, after a three month break for his shoulder injury.”

Shah Rukh Khan also gets to spend quality time with his family in this case. Once he starts shooting for ‘Happy New Year’, he will be shooting at a stretch, added the source.

‘Chennai Express’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone is set for release on 8 August alongside Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan starrer ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again.’

With the extended time that Farah Khan has got, we hope that she gets the script right, this time. We surely don’t want a repeat of ‘Tees Maar Khan’, at least not with Shah Rukh Khan on board.
