Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is wrapping up his shooting schedule for Imitiaz Ali’s The Ring which also stars Anushka Sharma. While he is on the location of his current shooting, Aanand L Rai has started prepping for his untitled next which is expected to go on floors next year.
Reportedly the Nil Battey Samanta filmmaker is flying out to Meerut today for a recce and will be in the city for the next five days scouting for locations.
A source close to the project stated that “Since Aanand L Rai understands the heart of small towns like no other, it is quite obvious that certain portions of the film will be shot in such locations. He is making a hush-hush trip to Meerut this week to scout for locations and also familiarize himself with the culture and the people. They are expected to start rolling in the first half of next year.”
Earlier this year, in an interview Rai admitted that it’s an extremely difficult film, both emotionally and technically, and is going to be a lot of hard work for the actor.
This untitled project is said to be an unusual love story in which the 51-year-old actor will play a dwarf.
Himanshu Sharma who has previously penned Tanu Weds Manu and Raanjhanaa has written the film.
Reportedly Katrina Kaif has given a nod to the film, but there are some controversies surrounding the other leading lady. It’s a love triangle and the filmmaker is keen on casting Deepika Padukone as the second lead. Do you think they will agree to that? Let’s wait to see who is finalized eventually.
