Disney launches warrior comic & mobile combat game for first regional film

MUMBAI: Disney’s first locally developed fantasy adventure film, Anaganaga-o-Dheerudu (Once upon a Warrior) has been transformed into various exciting offerings like graphic novels, art, comic strips, a gaming console with nerve wrecking five levels of battle of the warrior with evil.

Lakshmi Manchu, who plays the evil queen – Irendri in the film, unveiled the official movie website. Siddharth, who plays the brave sword man – Yodha unveiled the comic book and the mobile game at the event. While baby Harshita, who plays Moksha read out few lines from the comic book to the audiences present.

“At Disney we continue to create compelling experiences for kids and families, by leveraging technology to deliver stories and characters at their fingertips. The mobile game offering of our first regional film, targeted at southern audiences will further deepen our relationship with Disney fans across Andhra Pradesh,” said Disney Interactive Media Group executive director Nitin Chawla.

Disney Consumer Products vice president – publishing and retail Roshini Bakshi said, “We are delighted to work with the creative team at Abode and provide families with Anaganaga-O-Dheerudu’s content by way of graphic novels and comics. Through these efforts, we hope to bring this fantasy adventure film beyond big screens, for our fans in South.”
