Dostana released with 920 prints with over 200 prints for the overseas market. The film is the highest grossing Bollywood film in the UAE and is at the third position in the UK. It opened at 16th position in North American Cinemas.

The film has been the highest-grossing film of this year in the UAE, and is already in the year’s top three films for the UK, and moving towards the top in a number of other foreign territories."

The film released all across on 14 November apart from Dubai where it released a day prior. The other countries of overseas market include UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, France, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, Myanmar, Pakistan and Nepal.
Dostana is directed by debutant Tarun Mansukhani. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra.
