MUMBAI: Eros International has inked a three-year output deal with Bollywood movie production house Venus. All films from the Venus banner for the next three years will be co-produced by Eros.
Eros will exclusively own the entire copyright for distribution across all formats of these movies.
Two projects are already underway with Abbas Mastan and Priyadarshan.
Eros International Plc director and president India Sunil Lulla said, "Eros has always enjoyed a fabulous relationship with Venus and in the past we have distributed a large number of their films. We are delighted to extend this relationship to co-production and global distribution and are looking forward to working with them over the next three years."
Venus director Ganesh Jain added, "Eros brings a global distribution network as well an unmatched marketing muscle which will allow us to showcase Venus’s creative output on a worldwide platform. I am very excited about the synergy."
Venus had last produced Aap Ki Khatir in 2006. The film was directed by Dharmesh Darshan and starred Priyanka Chopra, Akshaye Khanna, Suniel Shetty, Amisha Patel and Dino Morea.
