MUMBAI: It was a sunny afternoon in manic Mumbai, the ‘Kai Po Che’ boys: Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav were spotted at a press conference in the city.

Director Abhishek Kapoor though was conspicuous by his absence at the meet-and-greet.

The film traces the journey of three friends: played by Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav. It is a typical “bro-mance” film, where the premise is male bonding and relationships. Speaking about his big-screen debut in ‘Kai Po Che’, debutante Amit Sadh (in a bright pink tee, mind you!) said: “”Everyone who watches the film, will relate to it. That is the USP of the film. Everyone who is related to you – parents, brothers, sisters and friends will relate to it because it is a very emotional film. Friendship is an emotion everyone has felt.” He also added that the film is an emotional tale, and will appeal to people of all ages and from all walks of life.

Speaking about his director, Abhishek Kapoor of ‘Rock On!!’ fame, Amit said that he can portray friendship so brilliantly on screen “because he is a true friend in real life. He is a brave heart, he has a lot of love and he is very energetic. He will be ready for you even if you call him at four in the morning. He is very lovable, and a brilliant director,” he said.

‘Kai Po Che’ is produced by UTV and is based on the book ‘The 3 Mistakes of My Life’ by Chetan Bhagat. The film releases 22nd February.
