MUMBAI: Former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is likely to make her comeback on the same stage that commenced her journey as a diva.
We have learnt from a reliable source, that Aishwarya is considering the upcoming beauty pageant seriously, and may even perform at the event. Says the source, “This would be her (Aishwarya’s) first performance post her delivery and also her first for Femina!”
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reached the heights of success after winning the title of Miss India and Miss World (1994). She was last seen in a critically acclaimed performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ (2010).
Post turning mother to the beautiful baby girl Aaradhya, the actress took a complete sabbatical and committed herself to motherhood. Ever since her scarce appearances post delivery, Aishwarya faced heavy criticism for not shedding off post pregnancy weight gain, but ever so gracefully turned a deaf ear to the hoo-hah.
Post the hiatus, though Aishwarya has been spotted at a few film festivals and seen endorsing a few brands, a formal announcement of her official comeback is still eagerly awaited. Buzz is that she has been offered Karan Johar’s next. However, neither Aishwarya, nor Karan are willing to let the cat out of the bag.
We hear that Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rajkumar Santoshi are also very keen on signing the beautiful diva on.
For now, filmmakers and fans alike, will have to make do with the sighting of the elusive lady at the upcoming beauty pageant.

The way she has represented India globally, I aspire to do the same. She is a great source of inspiration to me,” shared a contestant of Femina Miss India 2013 – Sagarika Chhetri.
The 50th edition of Ponds Femina Miss India 2013 will be held in Mumbai on March 24, 2013. The show will telecast live on Colors channel.
