Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro has finally hit the theatres. The director came up with a film after a sabbatical of six years. Mohenjo Daro stars Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde. Well, Hrithik and Ashutosh had worked together in past in Jodha Akbar.
Well, when Pooja was cast in the film, many didn’t know her. It was astonishing to see Ashutosh chose a new actress rather than casting any leading Bollywood actress. Well, the director has finally spoken up on why he took Pooja in his film. Talking to BOC, the Lagaan director said, “In the case of a girl, I needed a new face. I needed someone who was never seen before. At whom we can look on screen and decide for her kaisi ladki hai Chaani? (What kind of girl Chaani is?) Kya sochti hai, kya chahti hai? (What she think and what does she want?)
He further added, “You feel more for the character and then you discover the actress. Hence, a new face.”
Well, Pooja looks quite impressive and beautiful as Chaani. She already managed to win fans with her charm and cuteness. The actress had worked for few South Indian films and this will be her first Bollywood project. Only time will tell how much people loves Pooja portraying Chaani! The film is clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom. Both the films look enthralling and gripping.
