MUMBAI: Director Kapil Shah’s debut film, ‘I, Me Aur Main’ featuring Bollywood hunk John Abraham, is all set to release on Friday 1 March. And John’s co-stars, Prachi Desai and Chitrangada Singh revealed some exciting tidbits of the film at a recent promotional event.
Prachi Desai reveals that this is the first time she is playing her own age on the silver screen!
“Pretty fantastic actually, finally I got a role in which I get to be my own age, and that is a great deal for me. Also, I have never played a character as such before. By profession Gauri (Prachi’s role in the film) is a hair stylist and a make-up artist,” says the 24 year old.
Revealing more about her character ‘Gauri’, says Prachi Desai, “She is a live wire and a blabbermouth, she has a different kind of relation with everyone and I thought that is very very interesting.”
Chitrangada piped in about her own role, “Anushka is Ishaan’s (John Abraham) live-in girlfriend they have been in a relationship since two or three years. She is a successful professional, who pays the bills and owns the house they live in. And now she wishes to move forward in the relationship by meeting his mother, and insists to go to Pune to visit his family. Due to Ishaan’s laid back nature, Anushka gets a bit emotionally vulnerable and then there is a development in the story, which I cannot talk about as it’s a bit of surprise,” said Chitrangada.”
‘I, Me Aur Main’, with an interesting cast is set to hit the screens on March 1, 2013.
