MUMBAI: Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani decided to do something different this time and launched the first look of their upcoming film ‘Fukrey’ in the canteen of ‘Jai Hind’ College in Churchgate, Mumbai.

‘Fukrey’ is a spunky film about four college going boys who have nothing to rely on but their dreams. Farhan and Ritesh wanted to underline the college element of their movie and therefore opted for this unconventional promotion and release of their trailer.

‘Fukrey’ essentially means ‘wella’ or ‘jobless’. While the movie is not a campus film, ‘college’ is at the heart of the movie, and ‘hanging out in a college canteen’ is a key aspect. The idea to launch the movie in a canteen gave the correct vibe of what the movie is all about.

Farhan and Ritesh were accompanied by the cast of the film: Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadda. They were all seen wearing ‘Fukrey’ T-Shirts as they sat on wooden benches and  spoke about their college days and what they loved doing the most those days, which was of course, being ‘Fukrey’.
