It was a tragic incident that happened with model and actress Gauahar Khan, when a youngster in front of thousands slapped her, leaving her in tears. What could be more embarrassing than a stranger coming up to you and assaults you amidst the presence of thousands.
The actor was shooting the finale of the reality show ‘India’s Rawstar’ on Sunday, when the accused, indentified to be Akil Malik, 24 rushed onto the stage and slapped her. Though the actress pacified herself and continued the shoot, she later lodged the complaint and Malik, who was grabbed by the team was arrested.
Gauahar was wearing a sizzling silvery outfit at India’s Raw Star finale.“There were over 2,500 people present at the venue with 250 bouncers. “Everything was going smooth until someone from the crowd started teasing Gauahar. In her response Gauahar Khan started protesting and the situation started getting uglier.They were arguing and things then started turning messy and the man in question slapped Gauhar,” informs our source.
The source adds, “It was chaos after the security pulled the man away. Gauahar was shocked and was crying a lot. A stunned Gauahar didn’t understand what happened. Though the shooting was stopped, Gauahar took a break of an hour to gather her bearings and then reported back on stage to finish the leftover one hour shoot.”

Slapping Gauahar took Bollywood by storm. A few celebrities took to Twitter expressing their disgust over the incident.
Speaking out about the incident, Gauahar Khan in a press conference shared her side of the story. She said, “Why doesn’t a loser like him have the fear of the law before he decides to attack a girl who is unarmed and unprepared and someone who is in a state to try and do her work to the best of her ability. This loser doesn’t represent my beautiful faith, which in itself means peace and submission. He apparently attacked me because I am an actress. He wanted to send out his warped message. I am using the same status to appeal all women to stand against such acts.
Also, despite the shock, I didn’t let the incident spoil the finale of the show and completed my shoot. I feel the pain of all women who go through such kind of attacks in the name of moral policing. I know this man does not represent the youth of India because the young boys who were outraged by his cowardly attack on me outnumbered the coward. I assure you all that I am hurt but not out. I am shocked but more determined. I felt injured but stronger than ever.
