Ghanchakkar: Sanjay Dutt’s Cameo Cancelled

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is racing to finish off all his pending shoots before surrender, will not make a special appearance in the film ‘Ghanchakkar’, as scheduled earlier.

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who is racing to finish off all his pending shoots before surrender, will not make a special appearance in the film ‘Ghanchakkar’, as scheduled earlier.

Reportedly, the makers of Vidya Balan – Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Ghanchakkar’ have cancelled Sanjay Dutt’s special appearance in the movie.

The Supreme Court’s recent verdict under the Arms Act that sentenced Sanjay Dutt for five years of imprisonment for illegally possessing weapons in connection with the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai has adversely affected the fate of his upcoming films.

“Sanjay has been running against time to complete all his pending projects. He had a cameo in Vidya Balan’s next where he was supposed to play himself. The actor had agreed to do the role at his ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ co-star’s insistence,” shared an insider.

Looks like team ‘Ghanchakkar’ is now forced to call the cameo off, given the circumstances. Sources says that Sanjay Dutt has been replaced with another actor.

A source said, “The role was perfect for Sanju baba as he had to just play himself. So no one else can replace him. It’s just a cameo while there are other semi-completed projects awaiting his return.”
