Mumbai: Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision hosted the success party of Golmaal Returns in Mumbai on Tuesday, 18 November. The movie released on 29 October and has grossed Rs 890 million (Rs 89 crores) worldwide in two weeks.
It was distributed worldwide by Studio 18.
Seen at the party were producer Dhilin Mehta, director Rohit Shetty, actors Shreyas Talpade, Anjana Sukhani and Ajay Devgan (who was later joined by wife Kajol and Tanishaa). Tusshar Kapoor flew in from South Africa especially for the party, while Celina Jaitley came directly from the airport. Studio 18’s Sandeep Bhargava, Priti Shahani and Aman Gill were also present.
The guests included Jeetendra, Manish Malhotra, Anna Singh, Bhushan Kumar, Pritam, Vatsal Seth, Kunal Khemu, Rakhi Tandon, Sajid and Farhad (writers of Golmaal Returns). Directors and producers Prakash Jha, Shivam Nair, Anthony D’Souza, Imtiaz Ali, Vipul Shah, Anil Devgan, Neeraj Vora, Milan Lutharia, Inder Kumar and Kumar Mangat made an appearance. Ekta Kapoor also dropped in for a short time towards the end.
Amongst those who couldn’t make it to the party were actors Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Arora, who were shooting for Kambakht Ishq at Afghan Church; while Arshad Warsi was in Wahi shooting for Kaminey.
