While the live orchestra played a beautiful mashup of Big B’s hit numbers and Shah Rukh Khan danced the night away with ‘Amitji and Jaya aunty’, little Aaradhya slept blissfully in her cozy room.
The Bachchans who were initially very protective of the media gaze falling upon Aaradhya, have recently loosened the reigns.
A fortnight ago, when Aishwarya was spotted twice at the airport (to and fro from Chicago, where hubby Abhishek Bachchan was shooting for ‘Dhoom 3’), she sportingly let the delighted paparazzi have a sneak peak at the adorable little one.
Now finally, yesterday, when the clock struck 12 and it was time to cut Grandpa Big B’s enormous 3 tiered cake, baby Aaradhya was woken up from her snooze and brought out to join in the celebrations in the full glare of the world.
Photos of Aaradhya were later posted on Twitter by various attendees from the bash. Coordinated with her mom and dad, Aaradhya wore a cute white frock and a white fluffy hairband.
Seen on the stage with the Big B, was the entire Bachchan clan – Abhishek, Aishwarya, Aaradhya, Jaya, Shweta & Nikhil Nanda, Agastya Nanda and also Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar.
“I understand it is your job to take pictures and bytes. But she (Aaradhya) is newly woken up to this world. I don’t want the child to get hassled. You want the child to be protected. It’s a natural instinct of being protective,” Aishwarya told reporters.
