MUMBAI: More than the film itself, Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ has been constantly in the news for its casting issues.
Latest buzz around the SRK-starrer suggests that Farah Khan has roped in Jackie Shroff to play the role of baddie in her ambitious directorial ‘Happy New Year’. Reports indicate that Shroff, who was last seen in YRF’s ‘Aurangzeb’, will have a very challenging role in the film.
‘Happy New Year’ already has a stellar star-cast of Shah Rukh Khan, leading lady Deepika Padukone (after a lot of back-and-forth, Ms Padukone was finalised SEE STORY HERE), Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah. And now with the addition of Jackie Shroff, the film looks to be ready to go on floors.
‘Happy New Year’ will reportedly go on floors in Dubai at the end of August.
