While Shilpa Shetty Kundra became a household name in England after her stint in British reality show Big Brother season 5, the actress turned businesswoman also had the opportunity to reach most American households with the American television drama series The Royals that premiered earlier this year on E!

Sources reveal that the makers approached Shilpa for a part on the popular television series but she had to turn it down due to date issues. The team required Shilpa to start shooting in mid July for a 20 day stretch, however, Shilpa had already committed those dates for another professional commitment,namely her fashion label.
Says a source, ” The team of The Royals were keen on Shilpa being part of the show as a certain character suited her to the T and they were well aware of Shilpa’s popularity in England. Though Shilpa would have loved to do it, she was stuck with a prior commitment and couldn’t work around their dates”.
