MUMBAI: Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heyy Babyy has pocketed a cool Rs 410 million (Rs 41 crores) worldwide in its opening weekend. The film is directed by Sajid Khan and was released on 24 August.
Heyy Babyy also touched the UK top 10 in the same period. The film comes through an output deal signed between Eros International and Sajid Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
The distribution rights of the film were bought by Eros International. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Vidya Balan and Boman Irani.
"Audience reactions world-wide to Heyy Babyy have been extremely encouraging. With Sajid Khan’s direction and talent like Akshay, Fardeen, Ritiesh and Vidya, Heyy Babyy was bound to be a stupendous hit," Eros International, India president Sunil Lulla.
Prior to this Eros’ release of Salman Khan and Govinda starrer Partner also grossed Rs 420 million (Rs 42 crore) in its opening weekend and reached UK’s Top 10.
