MUMBAI: IBN7 is coming up with a new show from 14 July. Titled Mirch Masala, the show would present news stories with a tinge of humour and will be hosted by Gaurav Kapoor. The show will be aired on every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm.
The logic behind the new show is to spice up the weekend programming and bring out a lighter side to the serious news stories that dot the channel. The show will be satirical take on the week’s events that made news headlines.
Whether its instances like Shilpa Shetty and Richard Gere caught in the act or Pratibha Patil being nominated for Presidency, there isn’t any situation to which Kapoor cannot find a funny side.
CNN-IBN and IBN 7 national sales head Sanjay Dua adds, “Mirch Masala is a distinctive programme and will definitely be received enthusiastically by our viewers who are on the lookout for fun.â€Â
