LOS ANGELES: The 65th edition of the Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles truly was a night to remember. With television stars and Hollywood legends, the likes of Al Pacino, Michael Douglas sharing center stage and hosts Neil Patrick Harris tickling the funny bone of audiences.
While Merit Wever playing a lead in Nurse Jackie, kept her speech short, it was hilarious to see Michael Douglas get flirty with Matt Daemon during his acceptance speech for his role in ‘Behind The Candelabra’. The actor chose to share the award with Matt Daemon, getting dirty by asking if he would want the top or bottom.
Also present at the event were several stalwarts like Heidi Klum (Winner for Best Host for ‘Project Runway’), Al Pacino, Kerry Washnigton of ‘Django Unchained’ fame, Hugh Jackman, Tina Fey, who had a wardrobe malfunction, when she went to collect her award with her partner Tracey Wigfield. The 43-year old was however quick to act witty and laugh off the incident.
While the awards night was funny and an entertaining evening, the red carpet and the after party was too an engaging affair.
Padma Lakshmi, ‘American Idol’ judge Paula Abdul, Sofia Vergara, Zooey Deschanel, January Jones of ‘X Men’ fame, Anna Faris were among the many stars sizzling at the red carpet!.
With all the fun and frolic around and the accidental wardrobe malfunction, the Emmy Awards 2013 was quite a night to remember after all!
