MUMBAI: NRI producer Kesar Kothari has released Rehguzar – The Road To Destiny worldwide with around 50 prints plus worldwide today (17 November). In the domestic market the producer has released the film through sub-distributors. In the overseas and India video Eros International will be releasing the film.

Kothari says, “Since I am not based out of Mumbai, which is the hub of Bollywood, I found it difficult to release my maiden venture. Budgeted around Rs 30 million (Rs 3 crore), I have finally managed to release the film. The film has been certified with U certificate without any cuts. With this film I will be showing the conditions of expatriates working in Gulf. I have committed 10 per cent of the proceeds to two charitable causes – five per cent will be donated to ICWC, the Indian embassy sponsored council who helped the victims of circumstances stranded in U.A.E. in particular and Gulf and the other five per cent to a school in Rajasthan, which is on the verge of closure due to lack of funds. It is a school where I studied when I was young.”

Jimmy Shergill, who plays the lead in the film says, “It was wonderful shooting for the film, which gives a message to people trying to make it big by working abroad. Life is not a bed of roses for expatriates.”

Salloni who plays Jimmy’s love interest, is banking on this film. A Saawan Kumar discovery, her second film with her mentor Saawan – The Love Season bombed at the box-office. “It’s a well made film and I pray it does well at the box-office.”
