MUMBAI: The shooting of BAG Films’ Zindaggi Rocks is finally complete. Choreographer Farah Khan and director Tanuja Chandra completed the introduction song picturised on Sushmita Sen at Capitol Cinema. The shooting was put on hold due to Sushmita’s back injury.
“Sushmita Sen injured her back while shooting for this particular song and the film was delayed. Farah and I went about on a low key method of doing this particular song, since Farah was quite understandably nervous about Sushmita injuring herself again, but Sush, being the strong woman that she is, gave it her full energy. She did such an energetic and rocking performance for the song, needless to say everyone was quite happy and impressed,” says Chandra.
“This song, which showcases the title of the film and Sushmita’s rock star avatar, was fascinatingly shot in the Capitol Cinema, a relic from the British era in Mumbai. The reason we shot it here was because it required to capsule the feel of a rock show, with all the glitz, the guitar, the crowd along with an old world feel, dazzling with antiquated atmosphere. Capitol Cinema was just perfect for the shoot.”
“As a true professional, Sushmita Sen not only completed her work but was gracious enough to work overtime. I am looking forward to work with her again in then the future. Eros International has acquired the overseas distribution rights of my movie and I have fixed 6 October as the release date,” says BAG Films managing director Anurradha Prasad.
Zindaggi Rocks also stars Shiney Ahuja, Kim Sharma and Moshumi Chatterjee with child star Julian. The music is composed by Anu Malik and lyrics are by Mudassar Aziz and Syeed Quadri.
