After the success of Salman Khan starrer Kick, the Sri Lankan beauty, actress Jacqueline Fernandez has just got lucky and seems to be touching the sky. Reportedly, she has been roped in by filmmaker Karan Johar ( who loved her acting skills in Kick) for his home production Ram Lakhan. This movie is a remake of the blockbuster movie “Ram Lakhan”.
Originally Ram was played by Jackie Shroff and Dimple Kapadia was the leading lady with him. Lakhan was played by Anil Kapoor while Radha was played by Madhuri Dixit.

It is learnt that Jacqueline will step into Dimple Kapadia’s shoes in the remake to be directed by Rohit Shetty. Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh would play the role of Ram and Lakhan enacted by Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor, while the makers are in talk with Alia Bhatt to play the role of Radha, enacted by Madhuri Dixit. However, if the grapevine is correct, Amrita Singh might be playing the role of Rakhee in the re-make. The finalized cast will be out in sometime later next month.
The mix of Rohit Shetty– who is famous for his action filled masala films, and Karan Johar– known for making romantic drama films will most definitely make for an interesting remake of Subhash Ghai’s classic.
Jacqueline Fernandez is presently shooting for Roy starring Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role along with her and soon will start shoot for Brothers too opposite Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra. Apart from these, Jacqueline has also bagged English film, According to Matthew, and a Hollywood thriller.
