Yes, she fell on her way up to accept her trophy. Yes, she won an Oscar for the Best Actress for ‘Silver Linings Playbook’. And yes, she’s the second youngest Best Actress Award winner.
Did Jennifer Lawrence react well to the inevitable series of shallow yet uncomfortable questions flung at her by the oh-so-concerned media? Yes.
Her response was fortunately graceful unlike her fall:
“Was that on purpose? Absolutely”
“What do you mean what happened? Look at my dress! I tried to walk upstairs in this dress. That’s what happened!”
“What went through my mind when I fell down? A..a bad word that I can’t say, that starts with “f” ”
The 22-year old looked stunning in a Dior Haute Couture dress, a Roger Vivier clutch and Brian Atwood shoes.
Well, these weren’t the only highlights (and low-lights, pun intended) of Jennifer Lawrence’s night, she also flashed her middle finger at the reporters while posing in the press room at the 2013 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. It’s still unknown who she directed the finger at, although it seemed as though she was looking at a photographer.
All in all, it was quite a night for Jennifer Lawrence and of course, the paparazzi.
