MUMBAI: Nadiadwala Grandsons’ Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakkht Ishq, which is on floors in Los Angeles currently, will be 50 – 60 per cent complete by 5 August. The film is directed by debutant director Sabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Nadiadwala is just back from Los Angeles after the shooting spell with Hollywood biggie Sylvester Stallone who is playing himself in the film.
Talking about his experience Nadiadwala says, "It has been an amazing experience to shoot in Universal Studios. To work there, one requires a lot of planning, paperwork and discipline. I am glad Bollywood is getting there too. Kambakkht Ishq will be India’s first film with an actor from Hollywood starring in it."
Kambakkht Ishq is the love story of a stuntman in Hollywood. Kumar is essaying the role of a stuntman, Kapoor is playing his love interest and Stallone is playing himself in the film. "I do not want to talk much about Stallone’s role in the film; otherwise people will come to theatres with a lot of expectations. The less spoken about, the better it is," says Nadiadwala.
Post 5 August, the film will stars its shooting spell in Venice in Italy. The film is slated to release on 5 December.
Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand’s script, which is also being produced by Nadiadwala, is under working now and the film is expected to go on floors by late this year or early next year.
