Karan Johar: I Can’t Cast Myself, I’m Not That Stupid

There is too much that is astonishing about Bombay velvet, director Anurag Kashyap, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar. The film was a big flop at the Box office and has also received lots of criticism towards it.

But Karan Johar who did his Bollywood debut through this film was appreciated for his acting as villainous Kaizad Khambatta. The director turned actor got a convincing opinions and reviews for his acting performance but unfortunately the film failed to rule audience hearts.

Yesterday at the music launch of Karan Johar’s production film Baahubali, Karan Johar was asked that even though Bombay Velvet didn’t do well and that his role was appreciated in the film as an actor, is he been offered any films after that.

To which the multi talented director replied in his own humorous way. He said, “No body has offered me any role and am waiting for that phone to ring so that even a bad offer comes. I tried my best but I think nobody wants to see me again on screens.”

“I please everyone to put it out that if you thought my work was good than I should be offered more work. At least give me an opportunity to refuse it. I have not been offered a single film,” he added.

When asked about casting himself in his own films. Karan Johar replied, “I can’t cast myself, I’m not that stupid.”

Karan Johar and filmmaker S.S Rajamouli launched a new song of their upcoming Telugu film Baahubali on Thursday June 25,2015. Karan Johar is the producer of Hindi version Baahubali and was seen talking about what made him to be the part of the film. The film will be released on July 10 all over and the Hindi version of the film will released in partnership with Anil Thadani.
