MUMBAI: Billboards of Katrina Kaif’s ad for a cosmetic company – ‘Veet’, has been pulled down by angry protesters in Pakistan.

The protest campaign reportedly led by groups unheard of, has then gone on to replace Katrina’s billboards with a black banner stating ‘Sell clothes, not your honour’.

Apart from Katrina Kaif, Pakistan actor Meera’s ads have met a similar fate. The actor’s Lux ads are blacked out too.

The reason for the protest is still unknown. Dale Bhagwagar, Meera’s PR person in India told a daily, "Showing off a little skin with a sleeveless blouse or a backless dress, couldn’t be reason enough to black out posters and hoardings."
