MUMBAI: Sonakshi Sinha, who is currently only one movie old in the industry, has already laid down strict rules of what she is open to doing, and what she is clearly against.
"I am not open to wear a bikini. I don’t see any reason to change it because if the audience has accepted me fully clothed then why will I resort to it. Kissing and getting intimate is a complete no. I am not that kind of a person. I have been brought up in certain way, I have certain restrictions that I follow. So what if I am an Indian girl, when other girls wear western clothes, nobody asks them, they are not type casted," said the 25 your old.
In her maiden film, ‘Dabangg’ opposite Salman, Sinha played a village belle wearing Indian clothes. Even in her upcoming’Rowdy Rathore’, Sonakshi essays the role of an indian girl named Paro from Patna. "When people come to me with roles, I don’t look at it like Indian or western girl – I won’t chose roles like that. I choose roles that I believe in like whether I fit the character, if audience would love to see me in it, overall big picture, whether I want to be part of the film or not. So this has been my way of choosing roles. It is my second year in the industry, I will explore other things. For now, I am happy doing this," she clarified.
Talking about Vidya Balan’s skin show in ‘The Dirty Picture’, Sonakshi adds, "It was a great film. The performance that Vidya Balan gave was superb. I respect her so much as an actress. But it really takes guts to do something like that. I don’t think I would be able to pull it off with the restrictions that I have."
