Mumbai: M.A.C Cosmetics is the Official Makeup Sponsor of the 9th annual International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend taking place in Bangkok 6, 7 and 8 June.
This is the 9th consecutive year that M.A.C has supported the International India Film Academy Awards weekend. IIFA now joins a prestigious list of leading award shows and film festivals supported by M.A.C including The World Music Awards, Toronto; International Film Festival, Dubai; International Film Festival, MTV Europe Awards; The Academy Awards; Sundance Film Festival; The Pusan Film Festival, Korea; The Golden Horse Awards, Taiwan and many others.
As the makeup sponsor of IIFA, M.A.C will provide over 20 artists to create exclusive backstage make up for over 35 performers and 40 presenters at the IIFA Award ceremony to be held at Siam Niramit on 8 June. M.A.C Artists will also be on-hand for touch-ups to the presenters and award winners throughout the ceremony and will also offer private makeup appointments to key celebrities in an exclusive M.A.C VIP Lounge.
The global team of professional make up artists descending on Bangkok for the IIFA weekend activities will be led by Dubai-based M.A.C Senior Artist, Vimi Joshi, who has a long list of Award show credentials. She has also worked with many Indian celebrities including Bipasha Basu, Vidya Balan, and Sonam Kapoor. Vimi travels around the world with the M.A.C PRO team bringing her artistic skills and global experiences back to the Middle East and India to lead the local makeup artist teams.

In addition to supporting the IIFA Awards ceremony, M.A.C will be backstage at the IIFA charity event Fashion Show on 7 June. Among the designers showcasing on the runway are Alta Moda, Vikram Phadnis, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and Rohit Bal.
