MUMBAI: Director Madhur Bhandarkar, known for his penchant for realistic films, has zeored in on a title for his next film. The movie, which will focus on the fashion industry, will be called Fashion – The Ugly Business of Beautiful People.
Sources close to the development inform, “The script of Fashion is ready. Madhur’s associates Ajay Monga and Niranjan Patwardhan were working on the script since the last six months. Like his earlier films, this film too will emphasise behind the scenes of the fashion industry and its lure and glamour. The script will have a real feel of what’s really happening with a dig at the male and female models along with designers. It will have about 30 characters and will also have real models and designers too featuring in the film.”
However, Bhandarkar desists from talking about the film. “Everything will be made known at the appropriate time.”
Bhandarkar had earlier made a film on bars and its cultivating culture with Chandni Bar, the socialites in Page 3, the cola war in Corporate and beggar’s mafia and its menace with Traffic Signal.
