“SRK needed to work with someone who thought laterally. For Om Shanti Om he did not want close ups and faces put up for the hoardings and posters, which is the case for most of his films except for Swades. That is where we as an agency stepped in,” says Marching Ants director business and marketing Joy Ghoshal.
He further adds, “After our initial presentation the team was impressed and got back to us with an offer of a three film contract, which we readily accepted.” The designing of Red Chillies’ films were previously handled by Rahul Nanda and Himanshu Nanda.
While the principal photo shoot of the film wound up two days back on 6 August, 2007; the date of unleashing the publicity campaign of the film is still not known.
Directed by Farah Khan, Om Shanti Om is slated for release on 9 November. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shreyas Talpade. The film has special appearances by a host of Bollywood biggies including: Malaika Arora, Rishi Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Javed Sheikh, Arjun Rampal, Zayed Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Dino Morea, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Rekha, Shabana Azmi, Kajol, Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa Shetty, Lara Dutta, Vidya Balan, Amrita Arora, Juhi Chawla, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Karisma Kapur, Tabu, Urmila Matondkar, Sunil Shetty, Govinda, Bobby Deol and Sridevi.
