Moser Baer posts net loss of Rs 1.5 billion in FY’09

Optical storage manufacturer Moser Baer India reported a net loss of Rs 1.5 billion for the year ended 31 March, 2009.

MUMBAI: Optical storage manufacturer Moser Baer India reported a net loss of Rs 1.5 billion (Rs 150.86 crore) for the year ended 31 March, 2009.

The company’s net loss for the corresponding period ended March 2008 was Rs 789 million (Rs 78.91 crore).

Net sales rose to Rs 20.89 billion (Rs 2,289.45 crore) for the year ended 2009, as against Rs 19.64 billion (Rs 1,964.02 crore) in the same period last year.

The board of directors has proposed a dividend of Rs 0.60 a piece for the year ended 2008-09.
