Mumbai Mantra acquires rights of Onir’s Sorry Bhai

MUMBAI: Mahindra & Mahindra’s film entertainment arm Mumbai Mantra has acquired the distribution rights of Onir directed movie called Sorry Bhai. The rights have been acquired from Vashu Bhagnani’s Puja Films, which is the presenter of the movie.

Confirming the development to Businessofcinema.com, Mumbai Mantra COO Indranil Chakraborty said, "We have acquired the rights of the movie, which is at present in its post-production stage. We really liked the script and are looking to release in somewhere around December – January. The nitty-gritties will be finalised over the next few days."

Earlier this year Mumbai Mantra had acquired the rights of White Feather Films’ Acid Factory directed by Suparn Verma for Rs 270 million (Rs 27 crore).

Sorry Bhai stars Sanjay Suri, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, Shabana Azmi and Chitrangada Singh. Onir’s previous fare My Brother Nikhil and Bas Ek Pal have been critically acclaimed movies.
