MUMBAI: T-Series just launched the first song of the much awaited film ‘Bombay Talkies’ – an ode to superstar Amitabh Bachchan. ‘Give it up for Bachchan’ celebrates the cinematic journey of the actor, with cute little kids dressed up to represent some of his most iconic roles.

The video of the song is directed by Anurag Kashyap, with kids dancing to Amitabh style choreographed steps dressed in costumes from ‘Don’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Amar, Akbar, Anthony’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Coolie’, ‘Shehenshah’ and many more.

No film could celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema without marking the journey of the most influential and loved actor of all times. The four talented directors Dibakar Banerjee, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap have dedicated an entire segment to Amitabh in the movie.

“Joh bhi hai yeh aaj apne aap hai
Bhare padhe hai tamaam hero
Rishtey mein yeh sabke baap hai
Give it up for Bachchan
Give it up for Bachchan”

The lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and sung by the melodious voice of Sukhwinder Singh, with Amit Trivedi’s catchy music.

‘Bombay Talkies’ is an anthology film consisting of four short films directed by Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee celebrating 100 years of cinema. The film consists of a story of dreams, hopes, desires, thoughts, joys, pain, love and sorrow.
