MUMBAI: Despite being screened at the MAMI Film Festival earlier this year to a packed auditorium, Rajshree Ojha’s Chaurahen is still to be picked up by distributors for a commercial release.
With stars such as Soha Ali Khan, Zeenat Aman, Shayan Munshi and Victor Banerjee, Ojha is hoping to have the film released in theatres by the end of this year.
“No, we haven’t finalised a distributor as yet,” says Ojha. “I am looking forward to a commercial release later this year.”
Ojha says the work on her new project is still in the initial stages. In an earlier conversation about her film, the filmmaker had stated that the film is ‘a love story of life’. “This is a film about choices we make in our personal lives where no one is to blame, but us. My story is not sad or happy. It is just a reflection of us; our values as human beings, our lives, relationships and our souls,” she adds.
