Apparently, Deepika Padukone will not get Kangana Ranaut’s support in the Padmavati controversy!
While the controversy around Deepika Padukone‘s Padmavati continues, the film has gained a lot of support from the members of the industry. Many stars have spoken on the matter expressing their disappointment on whatever has been happening to the film and its team. Well, now it seems that the film has gained support from almost everyone in the industry but Kangana Ranaut.
Last night was a star-studded one at the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards 2017. Where many of the actors commented on the matter. Stars like Yami Gautam, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bhumi Pednekar extended their support to the film. After the open death threats to Deepika, the makers of the film decided to file a petition for the actress’ and other team members’ safety. Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma are to name a few who were approached to sign it. But when it reached Kangana, she allegedly refused to support the cause.
According to Mid Day, Kangana denied to extend her support. The reasons being that she does not consider Deepika her friend. And secondly, she is still upset about the fact that nobody stood up for her. It was during her controversy with Hrithik Roshan. So, now she does not feel the need to stand up for someone else!
Well, for those who do not know Kangana and Deepika’s relationship has never been very cordial. DP had won the best actress award for the film Happy New Year. She had dedicated it to Kangana for Queen. Later, Kangana had curtly said that she would have appreciated it if Deepika would have done it personally. And not on stage, in front of everyone!
