Pen to release 2D animated film Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins on 8 October

MUMBAI: The mythological twins – Lava and Kusa –  sons of Rama and Sita, will come alive in the Hindi 2D animation film Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins.

The movie, which is produced by RVML Animation, will be presented by PEN and released by Suniel Wadhwa’s 52 Weeks Entertainment in India. The film is due to hit the theatre on 8 October, 2010.

"At a time when our children are bombarded with all things Western it is difficult to get them acquainted with Indian mythology. We have to provide them content that is meaningful and also exciting. This film does just that. The quality of entertainment and expertise in animation is truly world-class," said Lava Kusa creative director and producer Rayudu V. Sashank.

"Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins will add an extra zing to the festive season this year, the first offering from Pen’s stable of animation films. Children and families are sure to enjoy the film," added PEN’s Dhaval Gada.

Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins will be released in three versions, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The music is composed by late L. Vaidyanathan (of Malgudi Days and Pushpaka Vimanam fame). Songs in the movie have been sung by K. J Yesudas, Vijay Yesudas, Shankar Mahadevan, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam.
