MUMBAI: People Pictures’ 99 has had net collections of Rs 121.7 million (Rs 12.17 crores) at the box office in its three week run. The movie is currently playing in 225 screens worldwide.
The net box office was Rs 54 million (Rs 5.4 crores) for week 1, Rs 38 million (Rs 3.8 crores) for week 2, and Rs 29.8 million (Rs 2.98 crores) for week 3. The film has so far grossed Rs 170.7 million (Rs 17.07 crores).
Made on a production budget of Rs 80 million (Rs 8 crores), the film released on 15 May despite the two month long standoff between the multiplexes and Hindi film producers.
People Pictures’ Anupam Mittal said, "The film has exceeded our expectations and we’re pleased with the results. The film is in its fourth week and still going very strong."
