Mumbai: Percept Picture Company will distribute Sony Pictures’ Hancock in India theatrically on a minimum guarantee deal. The movie is slated for release on 11 July.
Percept will distribute Hancock in all India territories, except the South. Sony Pictures has retained the rights of distribution for South India.
Sony Pictures India managing director Kercy Daruwala confirmed the development and informed that the papers were going to be signed soon. Daruwala had earlier informed Businessofcinema.com that Sony Pictures was aiming for a gross collection of Rs 30 crores for the Will Smith-starrer.
Percept Picture Company general manager distribution Guru Shenoy says, "We will distribute Hancock in all India except South. Hancock is a brilliant superhero film starring Will Smith and is bound to become a brand as its sequels are made in future."
