MUMBAI: It was an affair to remember, at Bollywood’s biggest night: the ‘Colors Screen Awards’ Red Carpet; and almost the entire galaxy of celestial Bollywood stars were in attendance…

If we were to ask you to think of the biggest, brightest superstars in Indian cinema today, you would probably say: Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, and Sonakshi Sinha? If we were to ask you: which are the biggest names among the young brigade in Bollywood today- you might also say Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Arjun Kapoor, Huma Qureshi. And you would be absolutely right, in both cases.

Well then, we are here to report that each of the above superstars were in attendance at the positively star-studded (there’s just no other way to describe it!) red carpet of the ‘Colors Screen Awards’. You name it; we saw them there, reveling in the unity and harmony of the Indian film fraternity. From the Shehenshah to the Baadshah, from the playboys to the bubbly damsels; they were all there to support one another and pick up trophies for their individual contribution to cinema in the last year.

We also spotted directors like Madhur Bhandarkar, Sudhir Mishra (with his ‘Inkaar’ lead stars Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh), Arbaaz Khan with his gorgeous wife Malaika, Prabhu Deva, R Balki and Gauri Shinde. Shatrugan Sinha, Chunkey Pandey, Javed Akhtar with Shabana Azmi, Sonali and Goldie Behl, Jiah Khan, Abhishek Bachchan with mother Jaya, Gauri Khan, escorted by their young daughter Suhana, Ritesih and Genelia Deshmukh, Nawazzudin Siddique (who had EVERYONE talking, thanks to his astounding performances in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Talaash’ last year), Kunal Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Boman Irani with his family were present as well.

Irrfan Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, filmmaker Anurag Basu, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sunny Leone, Subhash Ghai, Divya Dutta, Chandrachur Singh (back from his hiatus from B’town), Zeenat Aman and Poonam Sinha were also snapped by our shutterbugs, making an entry on the grand red carpet.

Needless to say, this celebrity-dotted affair was one to remember, for the entire fraternity stood as one at this glorious event, made doubly special as this is the centenary year of Indian cinema. Yes indeed, the milestone of 100 glorious years of Indian cinema was celebrated rambunctiously at this starry awards night.
