MUMBAI: The promotions of Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Policegiri’ have begun minus the fallen star, who is currently cooling his heels in Pune’s Yerawada prison, due to his involvement in the 1993 Bombay blasts case.

The team of ‘Policegiri’ looked lost and forlorn without their leading actor, and yet they carried on bravely. Directed by K S Ravikumar and co-produced by T P Aggarwal and his son Rahul, ‘Policegiri’ is a remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Saamy’. The film is scheduled to release on 5 July, 2013.

It was earlier reported that Dutt’s wife Manyata may step in and promote the film on his behalf.

Producer Rahul Aggarwal admitted that he was missing Sanjay Dutt’s presence during the promotions of his forthcoming film ‘Policegiri’

Said Aggarwal, “The feeling is very incomplete. Throughout the film Sanjay has been with me. Right now a piece of my heart is missing. We are incomplete. He should have been here.”

“If he would have been talking right now, the whole country would have heard what he had to say about ‘Policegiri’,” he added.
