Pooja Bhatt’s Innovative Casting Strategy – Bid To Act

Pooja Bhatt auctions role for upcoming films. The highest bidder gets to play a part in Pooja Bhatt’s ‘Bad’ and ‘Cabaret’.

MUMBAI: Director Pooja Bhatt who launched Sunny Leone in ‘Jism 2’ has an innovative casting strategy for her upcoming projects.

The actress-turned-director, is calling for auctions and the highest bidder gets a chance to work on her films ‘Bad’ and ‘Cabaret’. Both these films will have actor Randeep Hooda playing the male lead. The auction is no publicity stunt to garner attention for ‘Bad’ and ‘Cabaret’ and means serious business for Pooja Bhatt.

Organized by Oxfam, a charitable organization in Scotland and their partners Scottish Circle, the auction proceeds would be used towards women empowerment and fighting domestic violence.

This isn’t the first time Pooja Bhatt is being part of a noble cause. When the director made ‘Tamanna’, a film about eunuchs, she raised Rs 80 lakhs from the film’s modest Rs 1.20 crores budget.

Pooja Bhatt is quite elated at this new auction strategy and says, “Who thought ‘Bad’ would do good even before it goes on floors?”

But we must admit that this strategy is quite innovative and noble in thought. We hope that Pooja Bhatt is able to achieve this casting coup of sorts.
