Prasad Group bags yet another National Award

MUMBAI: Prasad Film Labs and EFX, which has been awarded the National Awards 16 times in the past, has bagged yet another National Award for Best Film processing.


 


Prasad Film Labs bagged the award for their work on Sringaram. As many as nine of this year’s National Award winning projects were post produced and processed at Prasads. These were – Rang De Basanti (Best Popular Film), Kaalpurush (Best Film), Parzania (Best Director), Parineeta (Best Debut Director), Sringaram (Best Cinematography), Kathantara (Best Oriya Film), Thavamai Thavamirundhu (Best Film on Family Welfare), Thayi (Best Kannada Film) and Herbert (Best Bengali Film).


 


In the past, Prasad EFX’s Craig Mumma and Marc Kolbe also received several awards for VFX in Indian films for Rakesh Roshan’s film Krrish including Filmfare Award, ZEE Technical Award, IIFA Award, Broadcast India, Screen Magazine Award and the FICCI BAF award.


 


Prasad Group recently inaugurated their DI suite with 2K projection system at Mumbai. The first 4K DI project in India, the Rajnikanth starrer Sivaji was post produced for DI and a major chunk of VFX at Prasad EFX. Gandhi My Father used Prasad facilities in Mumbai for DI and Film Lab Services.


 


Some of Prasad Film Labs’ future projects include Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Drona, Ek.., Highjack, Shortcut and Rang Rasiya.
