Pritish Nandy’s anime films go on floor at new studio

MUMBAI: Motion Pixel Corporation and Dart have completed work on the multi-million dollar media studio in San Jose, Costa Rica. This is the studio where work has commenced on Motion Pixel Corporation’s five animated film in partnership with Pritish Nandy Communications. Motion Pixel is also planning another 10 films with other players that will be worked upon at the new studio.

This is being touted as the biggest media production facility in Central America and one of the largest in Latin America. The studio boasts world-class animated facilities for 2/3D including render farm. In addition to animation, the studio also houses 2k digital cameras for top quality movie production, a state of the art screening room, recording studio, SPFX, DI (Digital Intermediation) facilities as well as other technology including DVD authoring, CD/DVD duplication and IPTV.

The company also has an aggressive push into the music business recording and promoting Latin American jazz, ethno beat and other music genres.

Motion Pixel Corporation’s Manny Bains says, “With our current infrastructure we can now continue to build in many different areas including animation. We plan on getting very aggressive with our partner Pritish Nandy in India, as well as with Live Action, targeting shooting four – five live films in the beautiful backdrop of Costa Rica within the next 18 months.”

Motion Pixel Corporation entered into a joint venture with Pritish Nandy Communications earlier this year for five films. These are the animated versions of live action films already produced by the latter. Two of the projects are Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina (EKEH 2.0) and Kaante.

Dart CEO Vinicio Musmanni adds, “We have worked hard to complete a facility, which takes pride in state of the art technology and we can offer a broad range of services to our clients at very competitive prices. We have everything any group needs including a top class post production facility and spfx.”

Bains further comments, “We also plan to become a market leader in DVD authoring and duplication, this is a multi-billion dollar a year industry and we are already in talks with several major media groups worldwide to partner in this area.”
