Pritish Nandys’ brand valued at Rs 2.65 billion

MUMBAI: Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC) Ltd has got its evaluation done by UK based global brand valuation and strategy consultancy Brand Finance plc. The company has pegged PNC’s brand value at Rs 2.65 billion (Rs 265.3 crores).

Brand Finance has also presented PNC with a strategic roadmap for growing brand value in the competitive global marketplace for filmed content emerging from India.

Like other companies globally, where intangible assets are crucial for understanding of the company business value, the company publishes excerpts from the valuation of its key intangible assets like the brand and content library in its annual report and accounts.

PNC Ltd chairman Pritish Nandy stated that working with Brand Finance plc gave the company an opportunity to understand how the entertainment market and the filmed content business worldwide values and responds to branded entertainment products. “We would like to increase our brand valuation every year and share this valuation trend with our stakeholders,” he said.

The company will soon be releasing its next film Just Married, which is directed by Meghna Gulzar and stars Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol.
