Priyanka Chopra, Irrfan Khan, Nana Patekar Come Together For The Jungle Book!

Jungle-book-[tps_footer]Disney is bringing back many movies this year and one of them is ‘The Jungle Book’. Reviving the childhood memories, the film is going to bring all the characters from the comic book. The first full trailer was released last month that gave us an extended look at director Jon Favreau’s adaptation.

‘The Jungle Book’ is set to be released in India in both English and Hindi versions. The story has been quite popular over generations in India because the story included Indian characters. Many Indian actors have joined forces to voice the characters in the Hindi version of the film. Priyanka Chopra, who recently gave the voice to Avengers Academy game as Miss Marvel, is all set to woo the audience with her voice.

She is set to lend her voice to Kaa the python, which is originally voiced by Scarlett Johannson. Veteran actor Nana Patekar will be lending his voice to Idris Elba’s Shere Khan-the tiger, Irrfan Khan to voice Bill Murray’s Baloo- the bear, Shefali Shah is set to voice the character of Lupita Nyong’o‘s  Raksha- the wolf and Om Puri to take over Ben Kingsley’s Bagheera- the panther.

The story revolves around an orphan boy Mowgli who is raised in the jungle with the help of a pack of wolves, a bear, and a black panther. He tries to survive in a jungle for years until a tiger finds out that a human being has been living in the jungle all this time. It is a story of a boy trying to live a live among the dangerous animals.

With such prolific actors joining forces to revive our childhood favourite story, the movie is going to very interesting to watch. With Priyanka Chopra juggling between her international projects, it would be great to see her an animated character. Adapted from Rudyard Kipling’s classic books , ‘The Jungle Book’ will be released in theaters April 15, 2016 in 3D and April 22 in India.
