MUMBAI: PVR Pictures via its subsidiary company – Springboard Films – has acquired the distribution rights of Rising Star Entertainment & Percept Pictures’ forthcoming film Allah Ke Banday, across six territories in India.
Directed by Faruk Kabir, Allah Ke Banday stars Naseerundin Shah and Sharman Joshi. It deals with the life of children taking up to crime at a young age.
The film, which was earlier scheduled to release on 22 October, 2010 will now hit the theaters on 12 November, 2010.
Rising Star Entertainment MD Ravi Walia says, “There are already some five films releasing on that day and it doesn’t make sense to confuse the consumer on choice. Bakr Eid was the best period post Diwali. So far the film promos have got excellent reviews; we plan to continue our promotional activities throughout October. Our partners Percept Pictures have planned out an extensive marketing plan and road-show during the Diwali phase.”
