Mumbai: Vishesh Films and Sony BMG’s Raaz – The Mystery Continues (RTMC) will release worldwide on 23 January. The film will also release in Pakistan on the same day and date.
Sources inform that the film will release with approximately 10 – 15 prints in Pakistan.
While on one hand, Pakistani citizens in Mumbai are being re-located to Pakistan, the Indian film industry has still not lost any hope to release Bollywood films in Pakistan.
Producer Mukesh Bhatt says, "Our Prime Minister has asked us to maintain all cultural ties with Pakistan. Ghajini was also released in Pakistan, all movies are releasing, so then why shouldn’t we release our movie Raaz. Our movies will help bridge the gap between the countries."
Yash Raj Films resolved to skip Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’s Pakistan release post Mumbai terror tragedy. UTV Motion Pictures also announced that it will refrain from releasing its movies in Pakistan. However, Ghajini was released in Pakistan by the producers on 9 January with 20 prints (post Mohorrum). The recently released Chandni Chowk To China will also release in Pakistan on 23 January, a week after its India release.
