MUMBAI: The Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has invited the screenplay of Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots for its permanent script collection.
3 Idiots, which is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani, released worldwide on 25 December, 2009. Breaking all previous records, the movie has gone on to become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time in India and in the overseas markets.
Earlier, the Oscar library has also invited screenplay of films like Eklavya: The Royal Guard and Lage Raho Munnabhai produced under Chopra’s banner.
