Rajkummar Rao’s Trapped Was Shot In A Linear Manner To Create A Realistic Impact

Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Trapped’ has been interestingly shot in a linear manner to highlight the realism of the plot.

‘Trapped’ is India’s first survival drama which showcases the angst of a man trapped inside a house endlessly for days, without food, water and electricity.

Rajkummar Rao, who plays the lead role, was on a black coffee and carrot diet for twenty days to make his character’s appearance look real and natural in the film.

To rightfully capture the impact of the man’s health deteriorating as he is trapped invariably for days, director Motwane decided to shoot the film in a linear manner, going one day at a time, in an ordered course, with the intensity increasing with every sequence.

This way they would be able to witness and capture the physical transformation as well as the psychological impact of Rao’s character.

The ‘Trapped’ trailer is gripping the audience and film has already received a standing ovation when it was screened at the 18th Jio MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival.

Reliance Entertainment presents ‘Trapped,’ a Phantom Production and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, slated to release on 17th March, 2017.
