Rakesh Roshan’s Krissh bags two awards

MUMBAI: Producer-director Rakesh Roshan’s Krissh has started raking in awards. To start with Anandlok Awards from Kolkata, an ABP group of publication, has announced two awards – Best Film of the Year and Best Actor of the year to Krrish and Hrithik Roshan respectively.


 


Rakesh Roshan will attend the Anandlok Awards function to be held on 18 November (tomorrow) in Kolkata to receive the awards.


 


“I am feeling great that my film Krrish has bagged two prestigious Anandlok Awards – Best Film of the year and my son Hrithik bagging the Best Actor of the year. I am going to Kolkata to receive both this awards because Hrithik is shooting in Jaipur for Ashutosh Gowrikar’s Jodha-Akbar. There were many big films and names for the nominations for both the awards,” he says.


 


Krrish was made with a whopping budget of Rs 500 million (Rs 50 crores) and made history in India cinema by mustering an unheard-of Rs 690 million (Rs 69 crores) worldwide in its very first week and went on to do business of above Rs 1.5 billion (Rs 150 crores.


 


The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Rekha and Naseeruddin Shah.
